Song of the Sibyl

In 2021, the GiroNins (the children’s choir of the Capella Polifònica de Girona) recovered the Cant de la Sibil·la according to the lyrics and music recorded in the Ordinarium Sacramentorum secundum laudabilem ritum Diocesis Gerundensis printed in 1550. As was done at the time, it is a child (a GiroNins singer) who plays the role of the Sibil·la. After the Cant de la Sibil·la, the choir, the musicians who accompany the singing (the organ and the Cobla de Ministrers de Girona) and the audience sing traditional Catalan carols together and in a participatory way.
